Governor Marking Plates are required for speed governors for car and for counterweight when counterweight safeties are present. These plates are custom made in two size configurations and have options for including contract and overspeed information. When car speed is altered it is usually necessary to provide a new Governor Marking Plate. With speed changes consideration must also be given to the Safety Marking Plate and the Crosshead Data Plate.
